WeSeed’s Team Feature

Today we want to shine the spotlight on the latest feature on WeSeed: Teams. Not to be confused with Groups, Teams allow you to compete with other Teams on WeSeed to see who’s getting better results in their portfoliYOUs.

After all, that’s what teams do, right? They compete and bash each other’s brains out.

All acts of violence aside (which we don’t condone, obviously), Teams are an exciting new feature because now you can form your own investment clubs with a little WeSeed style.

The team button lets you create your own team, finding a team to join, and taking a quick looks at the teams you’re already in.

Creating a Team

Here is what the create a team dialog box looks like:

As you can all see, there are a whole bunch of different ways to control how your team is organized and how it works. The trading rules, for example, let you decide if anyone can buy stock for the team or if there should be one point person in charge of executing what the whole team agrees on.

Our opinion? If you really want to mimick an investment club and make sure everyone has a say without going crazy with team memebers buying stocks left and right, you should probably let one person handle the buying. Get together, discuss the different stocks you’re considering, and then make a decision.

That way you have someone to blame if the stock pulls an Enron on you.

How do you find out how the portfoliYOU is doing? You can see its performance on the bottom-left of the team page:

Now go out there and get the best and brightest friends you know and start your own team.

Godspeed.
