    Your warnings are necessary. Too many bloggers post points of view that are merely lead-ins for advertising their products.

    But, whether diversification works or not, wouldn’t it be prudent for investors to avoid being in position to incur large losses in the first place?

    I’m a strong advocate of insuring the value of a stock market portfolio by using conservative, risk-reducing option strategies.

    If willing to accept a cap on profit potential, investors can prevent significant loss in a market meltdown – at no cost (other than limiting profits).
